Ultimate DooM ReMixes

    DooM - Now I'm Radioactive
    Source: Suspence (E1M5)

This remix was made once the Doom ReMix Project: The Dark Side
    of Phobos
was coming towards its finish. The track had already been
filled, but I decided to give it a go anyway. It ended up being quite
repetative, but building towards to end. The result is a light and yet
somehow dark sounding piece (go figure) featuring piano, strings,
drums, pads and a bass synth. The title is from the DooM comic
    "10 Years of DooM"

    DooM - Phobos Modulus
Source: Demons on the Prey (E1M7)

This remix was my second attempt at remixing E1M7. This track
used to be my favourite from the DooM OST because of how dark
and foreboding it sounded. Plus I really enjoyed the level in the game
when I was younger (Computer Station.) DooM levels don't come much
better than that one. This remix is more atmospheric than most of my
others. I even supplied some vocal samples and breathing through the
    mix to solidify it. Enjoy!

    DooM - Secrets and Lies

    Source: Hiding the Secrets (E1M9)

This was my first track chosen and made for The Dark Side of Phobos.
Much to the dismay of rock fans, I chose to completely change the genre
on this one and made it atmospheric all the way. I think it turned out
all right, although some of the beats were a bit rushed. But you can't
please everybody. Listen at your own peril, E1M9 fans.

    DooM - Jade Spawn
Source: Waltz of the Demons (E2M7)
Featured Artist(s): Karl Harmdierks (Bladiator) - Piano

This remix was made for The Dark Side of Phobos. The mix covers
the more ambient side of DooM as Bladiator provides some beautifully
played piano to accompany the plucking strings, harp, bass bells and
trilling strings. The percussion in thepiece features a powerful kick
soaked in crisp clear reverb as well as industrial sound-hits.
As the piece develops, a more apparent beat sets in which is quickly accompanied by military drumming. The piece is in a waltz
time-signature and is a remix of "The Waltz of the Demons (e2m7)."

    DooM - Cyberdemon Awaketh
    Source:
Nobody told me about ID (E2M8)

This remix was originally intended to be on The Dark Side of Phobos.
The piece ended up getting so large that it would crash my computer
whenever I tried to open it, so I had to drop it from the project.
This is the final version I rendered before the piece screwed up.
It's a quite dark sounding piece, even by my standards. I used a lot of distortion and reverb through it. The ending would've been much more
different and unique if I'd had the chance to work on it more.

    DooM - ElectroCute Bunny

    Bunny Scene (The End)

Somebody had to remix this one. While I couldn't figure out how to
introduce the piece, I knew what I wanted to do for that zany midsection
and I pulled that half off precisely how I envisioned it. It's loud, it's
messy, and it's nowhere near perfect. But it's impressed more than
enough people that I consider it a success. Just skip the first minute
or two if you don't like the atmospheric build-up.

    DooM 2 ReMixes

    DooM 2 - Hell's Marshall

    Opening to Hell (Map 30)

Not one of my best remixes. This was on of the first DooM remixes
I made and the first DooM 2 remix. Before I obtained RMX for proper
drums, I used default kits and poor samples. Still turned out all right,
but not all it could be.

    Final DooM ReMixes

    Final DooM - Clairvoyant Elegy
    Source: Wormhole (Map 04)
Featured Artist(s): Karl Harmdierks (Bladiator) - Piano

This remix is one of the older mixes that I worked on, and the
first one that I worked on with Bladiator. I originally intended for
this to be a rock piece featuring FIDGAF's guitarwork. He recorded
me an initial guitarline to use in the piece, however quickly
became too busy to complete the piece. I wanted to get it out of
the way, so I spontaneously requested Bladiator have a listen and
try to record some piano for me. Within a matter of days he had
sent me a waveform of live piano to which I slapped some effects
on and pasted onto the piece. It sounded so good that we ended
up extending the piece for an extra minute in length. The piece
is a remix of the Map04 music "Wormhole" from Final DooM.

Final Doom - Hung Like a Pinky

Got a nice beat going and decided to shape it into a new Final Doom
remix. This one is mixed a little quiet, so you'll have to boost your
volume up quite a bit to get the full impact. I went for a "mad scientist"
feel, inspired by the game "Lifeforce Tenka" and its soundtrack.
The piano and music box play the melody from the original, while the
bassline flirts with the bassline melody of the source.

This was my first accepted remix onto OCReMix. It's electronic making
use of gated synths and bass-synths. Crunchy distorted drumloops
make the majority of the mix backing and almost cost the mix a position
on OCR. Still a favourite to listen to, although I've improved significantly
    since I made this mix.

Final DooM - Milagro del Demonio

My first experiment with a truly odd time-signature, this time in 7/4.
I'm a fan of Tool's music, and I wanted to start moving myself away
from my dependence on 4/4 signatures. This was the result. I'm happy
with how the melody and bassline turned out, although I think the drums
could have been a bit better. Still, live and learn. People seem to enjoy
this one and it's one of my favourite DooM remixes that I've made.

    Final DooM - River Styx

I Made this a while ago. This is a remix of two very sparse pieces
from Final Doom (I'm running out of interesting pieces to remix from
that game.) This one consists of piano, mandolin, strings, accoustic
guitar, a couple other things (I'm writing this from memory.) Anyway,
it's a lot of reverb and compression, so if you like powerfully dark
sounding swing pieces, this is probably for you.
