BitseN Pieces
    Competition:
    Compotime

Created for a 1-hour competition on IRC. The theme was to
make factory music, like something you might hear in an RPG.
I went with a Chrono Trigger style mix. It's not put together too
well, but we did only have an hour. I won by 1 vote over Suzumebachi.

    Break Limit - TOMC6
    Competition:
    TOMC6

This weeks TOMC required the mixers to create their own battle
piece for the heroes of a game to fight to. I chose to make a
decisive battle style mix in which you'd expect to be playing as
you make your way in and out of relatively fast battles on an escape,
the music keeps playing when you're in a battle and also on the
game field as you run around. Featuring War Drums, detuned organ,
piano chords, strings and a relatively punchy bassline.

    Cat Cat Cat Cat Cat

Originally intended to be an entry into FLMC4, the piece was
disqualified due to my use of Sim Synth, which I'm told isn't a
default FL plugin. I decided not to enter rather than remove it
from my piece. Everything else adheres to the rules. The beats
    were by Prophecy.

    Epilularis Phasmatis
    Competition: TOMC2

My entry into TOMC2, which was a creepy jungle style theme.
I decided to go with absolute ambience, the kind of music that
would freak me out in a game. The people were after something
more melodic, so it didn't get too many votes, but I like the way
    it turned out.

    Flood (Tool Cover)

This probably shouldn't be up. But I like the way the clip sounded.
It's a short 35 second or so clip of me playing with my electric guitar.
I was trying to play Tool's Flood (which is pretty easy) and it sounded
good, so I put some strings and drums over it. Just for a bit of fun,
    nothing substantial.

    Jayan Aura
    Competition: OVGMC3

Zircon of the OCReMix forums decided to restart the OVGMC
competitions in which you're required to make an original mix
adhering to a certain theme, much lik e TOMC. This weeks theme
was an Enchanted forest. I decided to go with more of an
upbeat style piece, the kind one might expect on a tour through
an enchanted forest. Delayed piano is the basis of this piece with
acoustic bass, bells, acoustic guitar, strings and a crisp drumline
    to keep it all flowing.
The title comes from the Indonesian island of Irian Jaya

    Kriegsmarsch

This one is Damon's lovechild. We were struggling for some battle
music in our IONCROSS: Total War mod for the German section, and
Damon ripped out this awesome battle theme. Unfortunately at the
time I was too pressed to actually do a decent effort of instrument and
drum support. So I did this version a couple of years later for him.
All I did was the beats and the editing. All credit goes to Damon for
    how awesome this melody is.

    Layed Back (Seduction Mix)

Originally bar music for the IONCROSS mod. I took out the drums
and added the rainforest ambience. Tweaked a few velocity levels and
added some strings. Voila! Relaxing ambience piece. Melody is based
on Tool's "H.", and I'm aware that I spelled "Laid" incorrectly in the title.
The spelling mistake is here to stay.

    Liberty Rock

Oh how I love how this one turned out. Drumloops are my only poor
fortune over it. Based on the O' Liberty theme I made for the Texas
system in our IONCROSS mod, the melody just flowed together with
Damon's guitar to create this one. If you're wondering why it finishes
so abruptly, it's because it's meant to loop. It's battle music for a game.

    Life In Perth

There isn't anything to say except that I was bored and this
represents Perth, the city I live in, and how boring it is.

    Oasis Serenity 2025

I made this piece out of boredom. It's a fairly easy-going piece
of music. I've used some powerful drum beats and RMX defaults
in this, and also used the voice clips by pixietricks from OCR
which were originally intended for the Doom ReMix project.

    Peaceful Moment
    Competition:
    TOMC4

My entry into TOMC4. I ended up coming second by one point,
losing to Trenthian. It's a theme for an inn in an RPG. The relaxing
music that plays in the background as you sit in the usually very
artistic bedrooms of the local inn.

    Select A Desination

This one was my entry into TOMC10, a "take to the skies" theme.
I decided to go with the music one might expect when aboard an
airship with a list of destinations on a map screen laid out before
    you. Carefree and atmospheric.

    Slasherton Youth Hostel
    Competition:
    TOMC13

This spooky mix was birthed as an entry into TOMC13. I wanted
to get a scooby-doo meets Silent Hill kind of theme going. I think
I got the carnival and happy-evil sound down, and I like the way
the industrial effects solidified into a creepy beats pattern. It didn't
win, but I'm happy with the way the mix turned out.

    Spirit & Opportunity

One of my earliest mixes, and the birth of my interest in ambient
music. I pictured what it would be like for the two Mars Rovers to
be on Mars, and then made the music to suit the scary, and yet
    serene/calm atmosphere.

    Stuff Like That (lawforkids.org remix)

lawforkids.org is a horrible website aimed at teaching the law for
a picture US state to kids. The laws are so retarded that the cheap
comics and flash movies just come off as pathetically funny. This
is a result of myself and Iggy Koopa from IRC recording some of
the poor voice acting and creating a series of stupid songs out of them.

    The Diamond Mine

This mix is another one of my ambient mixes that focuses more
on atmosphere than melody. Heavy toms and a deep, monotonous
bassline are meant to set up the impression of a dark, deep and
    foreboding place.
